This journey provides a deep dive into the Jaunsar Bawar culture and British colonial history, complemented by the raw natural beauty of oak and rhododendron forests. Whether you are standing in the mist of a waterfall or soaring over a valley on a flying fox, this itinerary ensures you experience the very best of the Garhwal Himalayas.
Arrive in Dehradun at around noon. A chartered vehicle will pick guests from the airport / railway station and transfer to hotel in Chakrata.
En-route, lunch (optional) can be availed in Dehradun.

Chakrata or Chakrauta a quaint little cantonment town with its old world charm, is situated between Yamuna and Tons River. The cantonment was established in 1866 by Colonel Hume of the 55th Regiment, British Indian Army. Chakrata was earlier known as Jaunsar Bawar and inhabited by Jaunsari tribes.
Chakrata town is built along a ridge with a magnificent view of the greater Himalayas, is delightfully green, with the dense growth of deodar, Himalayan oak and rhododendron covering the hills. It is a picturesque place tucked away within the confines of a placid pollution free environment, the climate salubrious and pleasant almost throughout the year; snow bound during the winters, the thick woods rich in varied flora and fauna makes it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts, birders, the adventurous and wild lifers.
The region has a number of temples some noteworthy are at Hanol, the Mahasu Devta Temple dedicated to Lord Mahasu, Radina, Thaina, Indroli, Lakhwar, and Lakhamandal, on the banks of river Yamuna, known for its ancient Shiva Temple, which traces its existence to the legends of Mahabharata, the village also has several natural caves.
Evening is at leisure and around the hotel.

Post breakfast, drive to Budher caves and picnic lunch (packed from hotel) at Deoban (16 kms) and Jadi water fall and other water falls in the area.
If the guests are okay and want more fun, guests can drive further up from Deoban to Kanasar Bugyal (Bugyal means meadow). Kanasar is a beautiful place at an elevation of 2100m above mean sea level and is endowed with immense natural beauty. Backdrop of towering peaks and dense forests cuts out Kanasar as the idyllic retreat. This place is known for its deodar forest. The magnanimity of the trees takes you back thousands of years when such huge trees adorned this area. The largest tree has a girth of 6.35 meters, which also makes it the largest deodar tree in Asia.
Guests can also split Deoban and Kanasar for different days, enjoying one place per day but the route is the same.

Post breakfast, drive to Tiger fall (5 kms from the resort by foot and 13 kms by drive), it is a beautiful water fall, falling from a height of about 300 plus feet, converging into a small pond which creates an enchanting effect on the scenic surroundings. Roaring, gushing water, thick forest and a beautiful view makes it an ideal place for enchanting outing.
The vehicle goes till parking and then it will be 1 km easy trek downhill.

Post breakfast, transfer to Mussoorie. On the way visit Kalsi to see the Ashoka Edict - the only one in North India, Ashoka Pillar Rock Edict (John Forest, in 1860), built in 450 B.C., which represents the post-warfare era when king Ashoka converted himself to the Buddhist faith.
The scenic beauty around Kalsi is picturesque. From the Yamuna upto Kalsi the land on the western bank of the river is formed in two successive ledges, each about 30 metres high. Near the foot of the upper ledge is the Kalso stone containing one of Ashoka’s Edicts.
The guests continue their drive to Mussoorie. Early evening, the group arrives at Mussoorie and checks in at hotel.
The Mussoorie town itself is perched on a 15 km long horseshoe-shaped ridge, with Tehri Garhwal and grand Himalaya to the north, and Doon valley and Shivalik hills to the south. The Mall road is hub of all activitiy, especially in the tourist season. It starches from Library bazaar at one end to the abandoned Picture Palace Cinema at the other.
Mussoorie is the ideal place to unwind and let leisure have its way. The best way to discover it is on foot, following the innumerable winding paths through the many charms of this historic town.
Evening is at leisure to spend time at the Mall road.

After breakfast, visit Kempty Falls (14 km).
Post lunch, a trip can be taken to cover some of the must visit places which are the Mall road,, Camelback road, Landour, Gun hill, Libraray bazaar, Christ church, Sisters Bazaar, Christian Cemetry, Lal Tibba, Char Dukaan, Happy Vallet area (IAS academy), Company Bagh for a perfect blend of history and nature.

The guests avail breakfast and packs-up to reach river camp location at Rishikesh and checks in. Adventure starts at Mohan Chatti, a bungee jump from India’s highest 83-meter platform, followed by the Giant Swing or the 140 km/h Flying Fox.
After lunch embark on a rugged trek to Neer Garh Waterfall. Hike through limestone trails and dense forest to swim in natural pools before returning for a starlit bonfire.

Post breakfast, the guests check-out and avails rafting trip. It is a 16-kilometer rafting expedition from Shivpuri to NIM Beach. This technical run features Grade III rapids like "Roller Coaster" and "Golf Course." Mid-descent, pause for a 30-foot cliff jump into the Ganga for a final adrenaline spike.
Conclude the journey with a meal at a cliffside café in Tapovan, offering a direct view of the river rapids you just conquered.
Afternoon, the guests are dropped at Dehradun airport / railway station to board board back to home destination.
